until yesterday everything worked fine, then suddenly i couldn't get left channel audio anymore from my front panel.
checked my head phones, works fine.
checked the rear panel, stereo sound all good.
opened the case today to check if something went puff....nothing.
took the multimeter out and checked the connections on the motherboard front panel connection:
i got and avg of 3.0-3.4 volts between gnd and right channel,
and got an avg of 1.6-1.9 volts between gnd and left channel. (i don't know if they have to be the same or not, or at least in the same volt margin, not a whole 1.5 volts difference?!)
played around with the configurations in control panel, but nothing helped.
if anyone has any idea, would be great.
system:
amd athlon x2 3800+
corsair 2x1024 ddr2
asus m2a-vm hdmi (front panel audio set on ac97)
WD HDD 500G
dvd-rw
windows vista business sp1
