Res is 1366x768, current card is a HIS HD6850. Using the rig in sig to game on for now. I got the Black ops 2 free weekend installed and at this res and the game at max settings while using MSI Afterburner gpu usage in the OSD I saw gpu usage hit 100% It pretty much stayed at 85%+ while playing multiplayer. I stayed locked at 60fps for the most part but I've never seen a call of duty game hit this high of GPU usage so I know it is time for a upgrade.

What is a good option to upgrade to at this resolution?

I mainly play Fallout 3/New vegas and MW3 but I did end up getting metro 2033, Saints row the third. I want to upgrade and keep the card I get for a couple years. With the new consoles coming out eventually what card do you guys think is my best bet to go with?

Price isn't a concern, I haven't kept up with current cards at all so I have no clue what I should be looking into getting. I will be getting a I5 K model cpu and Z77 motherboard to replace the current stuff with around the time that the consoles come out too. Thanks in advance
 
The 7950 is widely regarded as the best card for the price right now. I have the MSI Twin Froze 7950 and it is a great card.
 
I can't imagine needing to upgrade with that low of a resolution. That's half the pixels of 1080p. If you are itching to upgrade, 7850 2gb would be good at around $190, or 7950 around $290. 7900 series has a better game bundle I think. 7950 would definitely last you longer before needing another upgrade.

to the OP unless you are going to upgrade your monitor to a higher resolution anytime soon, i dont see a point in upgrading your card right now
