I am/was an Nvidia owner and just switched to my first ATI card, 1800xt. My old card was a 6800nu, before that 4200, and 2 more Nvidia cards as well. WOW what a difference. IQ is far better on this puppy. My buddy has a 7900gt and he also said that the 1800s IQ blows his away. I have read here that there is really no difference between the two, to those people I say get an eye exam. Now I wish I would have bought that 9800pro back in the day. But anyway, Tips for an ATI noob?

Gonna tinker with it a bit , any tips would be helpful. I read that the CCC is crap crap crap. Also it is a bit harder to oc. Everyone says its a blowdryer so I got the Zalman vf900-cu to go with it. Never had a card that hit 70c load. Slapped on the vf now it hits 54 load.Noyce ;) Point me in the right direction

Why not use the Omega Drivers then?

newest 6.5 omega's kept lockin up my brand new 1900xt :(, went with 6.6cats no problems at all...

I used Omega's in the past as well, was a bit of a letdown on the newest ones.

Omega drivers? I assume that a modded set. What is the difference? With modded drivers on my 6800 there was no difference cept a few fps and coolbits added.

The Omega Drivers still use the Control Panel interface, though you can always add on CCC afterwards.

Actually quite bit of few people suggested that ATI has better IQ including myself but it's really subjective to the eye of the beholder...
