Currently I have a Westy 37" w3 and I have been very happy with it since May of 2007 till now. Gaming at 1920x1080 with a 4870x2

I am thinking of upgrading to eyefinity but I want to keep the feeling of having this large screen space.

I am guessing that would mean 3 monitors running in portrait mode but which would come closest to the height of the 37"?

Would 3 24" in portrait mode do the trick or would I need possibly 3 27"-28" or even...cough....3 30" which I doubt I could even afford. What do you think is the closest or close enough since 30" is probably prohibitive cost wise.

Maybe 3 of the 28" HansG would be good? I think I can get three of those for a little north of $1,000...

3 x 24" in portrait mode would still be 2 inches shorter in height than your Westy 37". However, width wise, it should be about the same. I dunno about 3 x 28" Hanns-G in portrait mode. I have that monitor myself and you will see the poor viewing angles even more when it's in portrait. I have 1 of my displays the HP W2207H in portrait mode for more height when reading but. when looking at it from the left, the colors would shift easily. 3 x Dell U2410 24" would still look pretty big. Plus the image quality would be much better vs 3 x Hanns-G 28". But, you will pay a good $1,500 for 3 of these though.
