Friggin' Leaks

So the nozzle on my radiator leaks (swiftech 120.3) I've tried like 3 different nozzles without any luck. The last ones I've got have worked out the best but even when I use a ton of teflon tape I still get a slow leak (like 1/8 inch every few days). What do you guys suggest? Should I buy some rector seal and juice up the threads? Will it gunk up my pump? At this point I don't even care if I've got to glue it, I'm open to suggestions? Thanks

Is it an older Swiftech MCR320 with 3/8 NPT threading or is it a newer model with 1/4 NPSM?

If it's the older model, it might *possibly* from trying to use G1/4 fittings on 3/8 NPT.

If it's a newer one with 1/4 NPSM... I don't know

are you getting a leak from where the nozzle connects to the radiator or from where the tubes connect to the nozzle? Are you using o-rings and clamps? My first build was a disaster because I had no clamps.

I think it's an older one because the nozzles are 3/8. It's leaking from the threads where the nozzle connects to the radiator, I'm using stainless worm drive hose clamps

Try some liquid teflon. If there are imperfections in the threads the liquid teflon will fill them in better than tape which compresses too easily. Just don't go crazy with the teflon, cover the threads on the nozzle and screw it in.

If the leak is light you can try to fit a rubber o-ring around the fitting to plug the leak. For a stronger leak you're going to have to seal it.

Make sure the O-Ring isn't damaged or torn. That'll cause a leak like that, too.

Thanks guys I just went and tried the liquid teflon like hydrobudz suggested. It didn't leak overnight so I'm going to say it's good.

If not, make sure you don't over tighten your barbs. I have had a similar issue before and it ended up being a over tightened barb.
