Friend's getting Korean stuff on computer

I'll just copy/paste what she said:

I think it's in Korean.How do I know that because they're just scrambled letters? Well the other day I accidental typed in google.co instead of Google.com, Google.co sent me to its Korean google site. So I get advertisement and such when I visit websites..targeted for Korean people. It sent me to the korean one since it's google.co.kr so since then I get Korean..stuff."

I get nothing going to Google.co, sounds like an adaware problem to me. What do you guys think she should do? She ran Ad-Aware and got nothing.
 
It sounds like spyware. Either Ad-aware wasn't update or it's missing it.

Check this thread. The new MS antispy software is pretty good. I also like SpySweeper over Ad-Aware.
