My friends cousin needs a cheap ass G card to play aim. His has an amd proc @ 2.2 GHz but it is not a Athlon 64, so its probably an XP. He has 512 ram. He is not a gamer, he doesnt even no what ram is. (lol) Basically he just plays C/S but he wants to play C/S:S. Im thinking about selling him my 5200, but it is such a peice of crap it makes me feel sorry to make him pay any amount of money for it. I looked at some old ATI 9 series but they r still pretty expenisive somehow. A 6200 is like 70 bucks tho, how does that stack up agains the 5200?(i know its better but how much). What 9 series G card is it comparable to from ATI, and is it worth the 70 bucks? Also can this thing get atleast 40 fps in c/s S at 1024 by 768?

His budget is just so low nothing more expensive can be considered.

Suggestions to other g cards r also accepted, idc what generation their from but they need to be able to play c/s:s at bearable framerates.

sell him your 5200 for 20 bucks and get it over with.... 1024x960 in CS:S would be around 50-60 fps in directX8 mode....

You might be able to get a used 9800 pro for 70$, and that would be way, way better than either of those cards.

Only NV43 ones, NV44A suck, no unlockable pipes etc. well they don't suck, nm they're good.. :D
