You're gonna have to list the actual parts individually. We can't look at your specific cart unless you give us your account info, and something tells me you don't want that...

Also, this fits better in the general hardware section.

Knock the processor down to a E2220 dual core and save $100 right there.

Shouldn't this be in General Hardware?

PS, Ditch the Raidmax in favor of something like a Corsair or PCP&C or something like that.

RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-730SS 730W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V $99.98

PSU is trash get a corsair or some any thing better

edit

yea an E7300 would be bad ether and OCs well with a nice after market HSF

I'd go with a cheaper, higher clocked Core 2 Duo to start for two reasons..you can save around 20-60 dollars and Nvidia chipsets get hot fast when handling quads:

Any of these are great overclockers and amazing bang for the buck, especially when overclocked.

If he's hell-bent on SLI then I guess the board will work. I'd recommend getting a 9800GT with the savings you get buy getting the cheaper processor.

i am NOT partial to this motherboard - MSI P7N SLI - and honestly i run a P6N (650i) in my rig.

i'm not sure what's going on, but it seems like there have been a very bad batch of 750i chipset motherboards lately... i've had three that simply wouldn't post.
also, maybe i'm a dual-core activist, but why a q6600? get an e6750. save ten bucks, get about the same processing power.
the last bit (as someone has mentioned) is the PSU.. you simply won't need that much power with dual 8800GT's. it seems like tech community has gone batshit crazy with 'bigger is better' in the PSU department.. while I'm running dual G92 8800GTS on a 500W XClio Goodpower 500W cheapy PSU with no issues.

for the motherboard, i'd point you in the direction of a P45 chipset based mobo.
for the PSU, get something cheaper. honestly, you're not building a super-rig.

If you decide to purchase from FSP's website, you can enter the coupon 'quakecon' and get 20% off and free shipping.. or something like that, can't quite remember what the deal was.

Get him some better ram though. Like G.Skill Ram. Heard bad things about
Ballistix ram ;)
