Well, unfortunately for me there was a power outage the other night and although everything is plugged into a surge protector, I believe my mobos USB ports have fried.

Keyboard, Mouse etc all do not work, and the backlight on the keyboard remains lit even when the computer is off, as long as the PSU is on  Sounds like a short to me..

So, I tried the USB headers on the mobo, and they have the same problem..

Also I reset the CMOS cause I figured what the hell why not, but nothing changed.

It was an eVGA 650i motherboard, and stupid me didnt register the product which is needed for warranty (wish I would of known that).

So, does this sound like the mobo is toast? If so, does anyone have anything cheap LGA 775 for me? I'm paying my way through college and am really strapped for cash. Thanks.

How old is this board? If its a T1 you can get 2 years any time. If its an A1 then you have 1 year if you register after 30 days. ;)

Hmm, its between 1 and 2 years old. It was purchased Summer 07. Im not sure if its an A1 or T1..I'm away from home for a few days. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
