Long story short.....
My extra PC that my kids use got a virus, prior to that all worked well. Reformatted and reinstalled Win 7 64bit, no hardware changes. I am assuming the video card is what crashes to a blue screen since it only happens when 3D games are being played.
The only difference I can think of is that I have installed newer Nvidia drivers. The other drivers were easily over a year old at the time of the virus, and I cant remember which version they were to try and use those to fix the problem.
The video card is an older Nvidia 8800 GT 512MB DX10 card. (All newer DX11 games are played on my PC).
Any suggestions other than downloading and trying every driver release for the past 2+ years?
I really dont want to spend money on a new card for the ageing kids computer.
