I just got 2 new HD's as you can see im my sig. I'm going to run them raid and then fresh install XP. Even though I have XP installed already on one of my older HD's, as long as I set the BIOS to boot RAID first it should not look for the other windows installation correct? Or should I uninstall XP from the other HD before I continue with the fresh install? I can see where I wouldn't need it anymore anyways.

I would evetually move my data off the 40 and reformat it...then bring your data back...but that's just me. Assuming your RAID1 array is formatted to be bootable, then it's just a matter of the BIOS configuration as to which volume it boots from.

yeah it will work.. but I don't see a point in having space taken up by a windows install that's not being used or anything..
