Freezone CPU cooler

What do I think about it? I think that this question has been asked over and over again.

It doesn't perform very well after a certain point (it won't handle a quad core), it's overpriced and a waste of everyone's time.
 
shouldn't there be a sticky with reviews on all the pre made systems [corsair nautilus, freezone thing, that "aquagate mini" if that's what it's called] and then people who don't know how, or the search isn't working can look there
for that price you could probably get someone to build you a chiller [refrigeration based]
 
I purchased the cooler and was very pleased with the temperatures. My e6400 overclocked to 3.0 and my e6600 overclocked to 3.4 would idle at 17-19C, at full load under stress testing with Ortho would reach 60-62C. The one thing I did not like was the sound of the 92mm fan with the CPU was under load. I had wanted a temperature control but quiet PC. The Freezone CPU cooler is not quiet. The other problem I had was the fact the Freezone CPU Cooler blocks air flow in the case as air can not exit thru the cooler. The temperature in your case may go up if you do not have good airflow elsewhere. I eventually made a case modification to my case to add another fan to aid in case temperatures. I have now spent big bucks to install my own watercooling custom rig. It is quieter but not quiet. My air cooled system is the quiet one and with well controlled temperatures as well. The watercooled rig idles at 28C and under full load reaches 57C. The temperatures of the CPU is better plus I also have cooled the video card and northbridge chip. The video card has markedly lower temperature. In summary for the setup involved the Freezone CPU Cooler does a very good job but is not quiet. Hope that helps.
