Freezing Issues

well you bought a new set of ram just to verify it wasnt the ram so im going to say its the board only because you say the board will not let you run Dual channel without issues.

exchange the board & find out. atleast you know if it still fails then it wasnt the board or memory. Im going to say its the board tho
 
I got the new motherboard and installed it. The RAM is in dual channel right now. It started up the first time with no problems and has been running with no problem yet for about 20+ minutes. Lets hope for the best...
 
Just following up with this. After one week no freezes or blue screens so I'll consider this case closed for now. Thanks again everyone!

I will also say though that Asus seems to be sloppy with their solder. I found small specks of solder drips near the mounting holes and other places on the backside of the board. I found this on both the old and new.
 
Good to hear that the issue is cleared up!

Sorry that your build had to to screw up like that though.
