just wondering if anyone knows if the 92mm fan on the AC freezer 7 pro is replacable. i haven't recieved mine yet but i would like to add a panaflo ultra 92mm to it.
Before changing the fan I'd definitely try it out. Sure it doesn't have this great air flow, but therefore it's really silent. The big question is wether you can mount the panaflow-fan to the buffered-mounting on which the original fan on the freezer is mounted to. If there's no way to do that you can either mount it with normal metal-screws (but take care not to hurt the heatpipes, nor to loose the blades off them) or mount it with a binder.
But anyway - try it out and then modify it if necessary.
you can mod and use some copper wire to tie the fan to the heatsink. but you can't use the build-in hook. it is designed unique to the build-in fan.
I got both: Freezer 7 and Ultra-quiet Panaflo. Panaflo louder than the Freezer 7 fan. I prefer to use the Freezer stock fan than panaflo.
in fact, I think Panaflo is overrated. they got quality fan but their motor is noizy. another thing is panaflo is noiziser with fan control with voltage control. if you use it with the motherboard, you need to use PWM instead of voltage control. I ended up buying another ball-bearing to replace my panaflo used in my PS.
noise is of no concern to me, the only important thing is performance, and the ultra panflo 92mm can move near 100cfm so that seems to me would kill the stock setup.
