Hey Ice how many gigs was the dvd originally?

And when you made it an image was compressed any at all?

The reason why I want to know is that my laptop only has less than 40 gigs of free space (out of 80 gigs) on it and I would like to watch my movies from my laptop w/o having to take my dvds w/ me when I go somewhere.

a typical DVD is 8GB roughly with all the extras
after you rip it down to just the movie and compress it say 80% w\ DVDshrink
it would fit on a single layer DVD and of course on your HDD that would be about 4GB
with no discernable quality degradation
