Looking for a new computer for the folks. Gamers with poor eyesight so large screen and low res is fine.

Can I find a cheap freesync screen of this size?

Basically a telly with freesync...

There isn't any 1080p of that size besides TV.

The closest thing I have for you is not cheap, nor is it inherently 1080p: BL3201PH, it's actually a 4k monitor, but according to NCX's review, it scales 1080p flawlessly, so your best bet is that. But the freesync range on this is quite narrow (48~60hz). And it's pricey, perhaps too pricey to use as an 1080p monitor.

I'd give up on FreeSync if I was you -- plenty of options for inexpensive lower input lag 1080p TVs you can use as a monitor, but as soon as you add FreeSync you're talking $500-600+ and in most cases 4K.

LG 34UM67 is nearest if you are happy with ultrawide and 2560x1080

There is a 32 inch HP monitor with Freesync but the resolution is 2560x1440

Wasabi Mango UHD420 is the only Freesync display over 30 inches at 42 inches. Quite decent TV as a monitor. No PWM. IPS. $629 on ebay.

You want the LG 34um67 or 34um57. 34 inch ultra wide freesync 2560x1080p ips
