Freedom Force and XP Sp2 no workie!

So i decided to fire it up this week and it crashes on me now at mission load. A quick google and sure enough that Xp2 hosed this game. There is a attempt at a fix in the works from Irrational or EA or whoever is responsible, but it looks grim as the issue has been known since august. Found some forums, that claimed to fix it by exlcudingit from the Data execution prevention list, but I think more people are seeing it not work than the single guy that claims it works. Anywho, hadn't seen anyone bring this up, if anyone has a fix please share!

Yes, it was patched 1.2, yes I tried windows compatbility, yes I tried the DEP
