• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

The For Sale / Trade section has a minimum post requirement for a reason. We try to avoid sketchy deals like this. Why are you so eager to give this ram away in an online forum you just joined?

Hi,
This RAM has now gone ( free to good home ) I have upgraded to 2 x 1GB sticks ( not currently working ), sorry about not having the required number of posts.
Im new yes but Im greatful to be part of this website as Im always learning and asking about pc matters. Where else would I place a post for the free RAM?
Now, anyone know how I might tweak my Gigabtye GA-8SIMLNF to show that 2x1GB of PC2700 are installed...only 1028 showing at this time. I been looking at the PBELL site
and one tech sheet I found states:

The 32-bit editions of Windows XP and Vista do not show the total amount of memory installed. Instead it reports the total amount of memory installed minus the memory allocated to
hardware, such as a graphics card, and other hardware resources. This behaviour is normal with the 32-bit editions of Windows XP ( My OS ) and Windows Vista, and has no performance impact.

This text related to PB boards with a max of 4GB...could this be applied to my board and if so is it possible that the 2GB are being used by the board ...downside is that Everest only shows 1024 also
if the 2GB were working would Everest definitely show 2048? BIOS also only shows 1024...refund is offered but I want to scan all possibles before purchasing from another manufacturer?

Berne
