Im pretty much looking for some free or fairly cheap software to just be able to edit movies, compress them and whatnot. Im looking to combine a bunch of video clips to make 1 file and to maybe add titles and captions to certain sections. If anyone knows any good software to do this with let me know. Thanks.

If you make a Linux partition on your PC and install a flavor of *nix you could use Cinelerra.
