Free "Run Application As Service" software?

I know there are commercial versions, but is there a free utility for running applications as a service?

There is a way to make any EXE run as a service. It depends alot on how the software is written from my past experience. But I can't seem to find my bookmark for it.

I think it is on my other PC which I do not have access to at the momemnt. But I do know it is possible.

Never tried it myself but you can try putting it under "current version>run service" and it will be masked by svhost. Found out about this when a client's spyware that Spybot S&D failed to clean out did that.
