Is there any free Registry Cleaners out there that dont have spyware/malware? thanks in advance

If you are using XP, I prefer RegScrubXP. If you are using Vista, CCleaner is good as well.

All registry cleaners are bad IMO. I have never used them, and never will. I will go hunt down the regkey...

They remove keys that they should not, plus why the hell would you want an automatic tool to do something for you in the registry?

Because removing 755 dead Registry keys related to software I don't have installed any longer is a fucking waste of my time, that's why. CCleaner ftw, fast, efficient, makes a backup before any alterations are made (if you're paranoid, that is), and it's free as mentioned.

CCleaner defiantly, been using it for years (when I uninstall software). I always make a backup (it gives you the option, and I recommend doing it) but never once have I ever had to replace deleted registry files.

Yes, CCleaner

You haven't had to remove much software in the past, have you? You don't always have the option of removing the key, because they aren't always easy to find. It's much much faster to run a tool that works great, and doesn't remove the wrong keys. It also makes a backup, as mentioned, but I've never had to do that.

Use Revo Uninstaller. It will run the App uninstaller first, then it will hunt down the registry keys and delete them, and then it will look for any last traces (folders, files) on the computer and delete those as well. Pretty much makes registry cleaners unnecessary.
