ahhh good point! I didn't think that this was much of a deal at first, but that alone makes it worth it.
 
thank u very much......didn't wanna dl a bunch of win95 updates on my computer just to transfer them to a win95 machine that can't connect to the internet..........this helps me bigtime.......tyvm

I hate to burst your bubble, but these CDs don't include Win95 updates. They only contain updates for XP, 2000, Me, 98SE and 98.
 
Very nice! Finally I don't have to waste so much of my time download the same patches over and over again!

You can also save Windows Updates and then burn them to a CD, so you don't have to dl them everytime.

Or, if you want, you can use SUS (Software Update Services) to run your own windows update server. You can search for it on m$'s website, its a free download.
 
guys: listen up..theres something MUCH easier...free...just gotta backup the program on a cd. www.autopatcher.com you dl it, it includes ALL latest updates, and you choose the updates you want to instal, it instals them all and thats it (all updates are INCLUDED [it has them all come with the main program.])

Uh.. thats for the poster thing :p

I actually emailed them back about that poster deal saying "cancel my order" and they are still sending emails like that out to me :rolleyes:
 
Thanks a lot. This can save a LOT of time, especially when you have friends who are "having computer problems" and "need your help" (like every 2 - 4 weeks).

It turns out that my "help" usually translates into a format and reinstallation.

Also, thanks to those who provided the excellent tutorials on slipsteaming and customizing unattended installations. Much appreciated.
 
Hay guys, Got my CDs today two of them, one with the updates to February 2004 and a cd for free antivirus & firewall for one year from eTrust EZ armor. anybody else get it yet??
 
not yet, im still looking, i got the invoice about 3 weeks ago. its good to hear that they are shipping now.
 
Thanks for the post, i just ordered :). Stuff like this comes in handy for someone thats on dial-up like myself.
 
Haven't received mine yet. Ordered on Feb. 19, got a notice on March 18 that they were shipping. Need to wait a few more days I guess then I should (hopefully) have it.

just got mine today and it looks like this will come in handy...now when do you think I will get the 9/11 CD.
