free hosting for PHP and MySQL?

anybody can recommend anything that they are using ? Seems like every free hosting site has a catch, no less than 10 people a day, need to aprove content, spanish sign-up, no mysql,..etc,
 
You can get cheap "unlimited" hosting on ebay for like $10 a year. I have 3 sites hosted with host298.com and they did the $10 a year ebay listings.

No complaints, "unlimited space" "unlimited bandwidth" mySQL, unlimited emails, php, cpanel, cron jobs, etc etc etc

agreed, provided you are talking about a small, low traffic website and you're comfortable setting up your own web server. If this is just for your own personal stuff or its a site for a small group of friends/relatives, then I say go for it..any old 400MHz and above PC would work just fine as a small web server.
 
ok, i just registered for hostsnake.com as i was advised and it said it sent me a confirmation email.
This is the third host that says "confirmation email sent" after registering. The thing is i never get any confirmation email. I gueess my email just gets added to some spammer's list. WHats is the deal with that??
 
thanks for the good advice.. hostsnake just stole my email, probably just to put it on some spam lists.
I canot belive they get away with that! ask people to register and just steal their personal information, and never send them their activation email..
