Free HDTV?

Hi, I currently have an HTPC and I am looking into buying an HDTV recorder. My question is If I use Beyond TV 4 and the HDTV tuner card will I be able to watch and record HDTV completely free or will I still need to pay for HDTV from the cable company. I appreciate any help with this I have searched but cannot find the information I need.

Over that Air (OTA) HD is free, you can't get stuff like ESPN HD or HBO HD for free or even with an HD tuner.

But I will be able to record channels like NBC and ABC for free?

Yes, just go to antennaweb.org to find out what stations are in your area.
