Free Darkspore Beta

I am surprised no one has posted this yet - maybe I am just blind. Anyways, Steam is allowing you to play the beta of Darkspore for free. If you arent familiar with it, Darkspore is basically Maxis' Spore engine (in terms of graphics and customizability) mixed with an RPG.

I've had my client up-to-date on this since yesterday sometime. There were rumors about another beta starting up today, and I checked yesterday and sure enough there was a new version to download. Unfortunately, my 4870 is dead, my 5770 won't be here until maybe the end of the week at the earliest, and Darkspore doesn't want to play nice with my 7900GS even when I turn all the settings down :(

The game is definitely worth a try if you like hack-n-slash games.
