[H]ello folks,

I have a Hauppage PVR-150 which is 100% delightful. I use dscaler with it, and works fantastically, but sometimes the channels can be a little dark or light. I'd love to be able to calibrate the device very quickly with standard test patterns, but no free DVD for test input exists.

DScaler supports a bunch of standard test patterns: http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/Help/Calibration.htm It would probably be really easy to create a free/open source dvd with some basic test patterns, and integrate it with DScaler with the help of their devteam - I would love it if someone could help me out with this, or point me in the right direction towards someone who might be interested in working on a project like this.

its a nice idea but that would mean calibrating by eyesight which doesnt work.
everyone sees different so all calibrations would be different.

Never thought about it..... good point.

Besides, test patterns are pretty useful for calibrating a new monitor as well.
