Free alternative to SnagIt?

Note: I've googled Post It for Windows and got 10-15(++). I was seeking a highly recommended one(best programmed/most features/cool colors). Is this recommended by you?

To be honest, I don't use any of them. Might just have to try a few.
 
More specifically, bigdogchris is/was referring to the app in Vista and Windows 7 called Sticky Notes... should perform adequately.

Are there any other things I should know about Windows 7?
 
Windows Vista has the built in Snipping Tool for screen capture. Although, I am not too sure if Windows 7 still has that program or something similiar?

Win7 still has the snipping tool and it looks just about the same. It's a nice little feature for sure.
