I had a fraps running recording a World of Warcraft battle when suddenly my computer completly froze, no restart, just froze. I restarted and now i have a 2 gig video file (it was a long record) sitting on my comp, is there anyway to read this? I've tried BSplayer, VLC, Adobe Premier, AVI preview... nothing.

How does FRAPS save things? If it's an AVI (sounds like it) doesn't it work out that the first and last frames need to be authored or the computer won't be able to tell how the is supposed to interpreted? The same reason that you have to completely d/l an AVI from the net before you can watch it. You can't (at least, I haven't been able to) watch it as it's downloading like some other video types (i.e. quicktime and MPEG).

My guess is that since the file was interrupted mid-stream, so to speak, there is corruption somewhere in the file which is preventing programs from opening it.

Just my two cents. Don't know much about FRAPS.

Yeah... even g-spot codec info cant read the file, only sees it as a corrupt AVI... oh well.
