Fraps a virus??

I want to do some benchmarking the same way I heard [H] Does it by using fraps. The problem is that my virus protection (Avast) says that the file from fraps.com is a virus. Is this normal? I want to buy the full version of fraps off of there website but I don't know if its safe or not.

Let me know your thoughts and if someone has an "official" web site for downloading fraps so I can buy it please link it for me :)
 
probably picking it up as it captures the recording keys...

either that or you didn't get it from the fraps website (if you know what i mean)

I think I'm at the right site www.fraps.com it says its $37 for the "full version" It has a monitor with a 99 on it for the website icon.

Is that the right site??
 
Yer thats the right site :)

Its fineits not a virus. you AV is just picking up that it could be a keylogger because it logs when the f9/f10/f11/f12 keys are pressed. Just tell it its not a virus.

I've had fraps for years and never had problems with it.
 
Ok awsome I just bought the newest version from them for 37 bucks (not bad IMO) Now I just have to install it and figure out how it works.
