Hi, do you recommend any settings within the Nvidia control panel for the 5080?

Force G X4 isn't working well for me; when I activate it, the FPS drops and I notice latency—it's not smooth.

I have G-Sync enabled and Low Latency mode set to Ultra.

I think I'm missing something. My monitor is an Aorus 4K 144Hz and my CPU is a 7900X3D.

Thanks

Max framegen setting on a 144Hz monitor should be 2X. Anything else is going to be laggy. At 144Hz, well really a little less since you want to cap it at 140-142, is 70-71fps + some extra lag since you're waiting for the next real frame before the generated frames are displayed. NV flat out recommends a 60fps base framerate with framegen. 144/3 = 48, so that's a no-go. You're better off using more DLSS upscaling and/or lowering settings than trying to use 3X+ framegen on a 144Hz screen.

Also, you may well prefer FG off with lower setttings and/or more upscaling. Just try it and see.

Yeah, MFG is really only for 240+ Hz monitors, because you want a base FR to be 60+ FPS for it to still feel responsive anyways. I've been using 3-4 MFG on my 240Hz monitor and it enjoyed using it in the few games I've use it in at least when that base FR is being met.

Which game and what are your settings and frame rate with FG off?
