It is located on the campus of East TN State Univ. LANs have been had here for a few years and this is one of the most convenient and comfortable places that I've been to yet.

I think this is one of only two larger public LANs held in the other. Another is held in Mountain City more often (the ETSU LAN is basically once a semester). Other than that, I know of only a few house LANs in the area. If there was enough organized interest, I'm sure a few garage style LANs could be organized in Johnson City.
