Okay, so what's a FRAG-a-THON? Well, it's not a normal SMo-g, but it is hosted by SpokLAN.net - and the differnce is it's a 40 hour charity fundraiser. It starts at 8pm Friday the 10th of March, and goes through Noon Sunday the 12th. We only have a total of 52 spots (42 pc and 10 console) - so you'll want to sign up, get your pledge sheet printed off, prepay your $10 (which includes a limted edtion FRAG-a-THON sthirt). And yes, we'll be at the Budget Inn here in Spokane WA.
What's the point of all this? First, to raise money for Gonzaga University's April's Angels, a first rate charity that helps out kids. Second, to have a lot of fun doing it.
Over the last two years, we have raised over $4,500.00 for the kids! Our goal this year is another $2,500.00
You can participate in two ways: Pleged and Self-Pledged.
Pledged: You go out and get pledges - by the hour, full 40, or participation (on outright donation). If you are pledged, you get to stay up for the full 40 to raise money (unless it's all participation pledges). You'll get 5 one hour breaks you can sue throughout the event, and if you have any left over, there's a drawing for a years worth of free SpokLAN.net events.
Self-Pledged: Basically you write a check / hand over cash for the kidz - this allows you to take a break when you want but still help out the kidz. If you get a pledge sheet and have all "participation" pledges, you fit into this group
We are asking that you try for a $50 in pledges - this is NOT required, but we'd like you to try. Our top three fundraisers will recieve some nice prizes:
