Do you keep the top filter on? I have it off currently due to it being an AIO exhaust. but there are some gaps over the motherboard.

oh. looks fine, id leave it. i took mine off too, as i have it setup as top exhaust.
 
If you are worried how it looks with light shining through those mobo holes you can always cover them with same tape. Might look aesthetically better to not have the light shining through. If your worried about dust coming into those holes, then tape would fix that too, or just make sure you have enough positive pressure to ensure it's not drawing in air. But I too will be running with it off(waiting to complete my current build).
