Hello I wanted to share my build, and increase my post count while here hah so I can finally start selling something in classified section! I'm no xtreme modder, at the end I'm very happy I managed to fit everything I needed into this case with 2 small mods.
My main requirements where to put together a PC with microATX motherboard in hope of ending up with smaller case and to keep all 3.5" cages since storage is my main focus.
Setup:
- Asus Maximus VII Gene mATX motherboard
- Intel i7 4790K CPU
- 4x4 G.SKILL DDR3 2133MHz CL9
- MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G
- 2x SDD mounted on the back
- 4x 3.5" HDDs
- Corsair CX750M
- WC
-> Swiftech Apogee XT Rev. 2
-> Swiftech MCR320 360mm radiator
-> Swiftech MCP355 pump
I was well aware of 260mm video card length limit but I really liked MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G design and cooling and found one locally on craigslist. So I fit this 279mm gfx card into Arc Mini R2 by crushing small section of the tubular edge of 3.5" cage
To plug the power cables to the gfx I had to elevate the 3.5" cage a bit by using spare motherboard stands, this also in turn made more room to work with SATA cables so it was a win win mod.
Finally to retain my bluray drive I needed to dremel off half of outer side of the 5.25" cage to make room for the triple radiator:
Next I will sleeve the gfx power cables red and try to buy 45* or 90* fitting for the pump to make things look better.
