For the longest time, I've been using a Nostromo speedpad (Original n52, and now an N52te) but as of late I've wondered if I've been gimping myself by not using a keyboard for my FPS games.

I'm interested in hearing the advice of the community as to whether it's time to ditch this thing and get a "gaming" keyboard.

Do you like carpal tunnel syndrome? I don't, I found the speedpad way more comfortable for my hands/wrists while gaming.

I don't game a LOT, as my time is currently very limited... so I'm not too worried about repetitive stress injury (RSI).

I loooove my n52te for MMOs and other games. However, I find it somewhat lacking for FPS. Maybe my hands are just too accustomed to the layout of the keyboard? I tried using the n52te for MW2 a while back and I just couldn't get the right feel for it.

But, I guess it's all personal preference.
