So I built my new 8800GTX SLI rig a few months back on a Q6600 with 4GBs of ram (2 x 2GB sticks).
It's been running OK, and when school started I didn't spend the time I should have optimising it, but now I am back and I realize how screwed up it is.
As a perfect example, I am running CS:S at 1920x1200 with all settings are reccomended (high with 4x AA and 8x AF). I get about 90fps average on most levels...
When I turn off AA and AF I get the same: 90 Average.
With all settings on LOW! same resolution, I get the same: 90 fps average.
I am no genius, but I think there is a problem. Is Vista 64bit really screwing me over, or am I missing some needed setting tweak? And yes, my Nvidia drivers are updated to the latest (175s)
