When I run 3DMark03 I can get around 10100 with my BFG 6800GT and get around 70fps at 1600x1200 everything all the way up on the CS:S video test. When I run the test again on both I get either less marks or a lower fps... shouldn't it be better?

Why am I getting these drops?
 
What kind of drops are we talking about?

Normally benchmarks will fluctuate between runs.
