FP2001 Driver?

Just got my Dell FP2001. WOW. Definatly hot looking, but for some reason WIndows XP won't recognize it correctly, and i can't get the 75hz. Anyone know where i can download a driver? I Can't seem to find my service tag or find the driver downloads for monitors on Delll's site.
 
i got a driver disc with mine but didnt use it.. i just left mine set to 60hz... but i got a dumb question.. what does refresh rate matter on an lcd? i thought it didnt?
 
thanks guys. the cd with it is only documentation. i can get 75hz at 1280x1024. Gonna try the new driver now. I could have sworn i read it did 75hz at 1600x1200
 
The driver for the 2001fp is on the disk that came with the package. Just go to system properties and update the driver that way.
 
60 hz is the optimal refresh rate.

Remeber that unlike CRT monitor's, higher refresh rates don't mean it's better.

Use the driver disk that came with it because then windows will correctly identify your monitor as 2001fp and will also add a color profile for the monitor.
 
yeah i see it's 60hz now, oh well. i know it doesn't matter, but I mean, why is it there then?

I mean, why is there 60 and 75 available at 1280x1024? What exactly does it do for an LCD?
 
nothing much, LCDs don't refresh constantly like CRTs. You can search google for specific details about lcd refresh rates.
