Hi I just got a brand new Foxconn WLL-3350 802.11b/g card from newegg cause it was cheap and seemed to have ok reviews. So i got it today and got it up and running perfectly with no problems. Good-very good signal on my 802.11b network. The speed is good. But when i play games (i tested it on multiple games ie: bf42 and hl2dm) every minute or so i get a massive lag spike for a few seconds. What's causing this? It makes online gaming very frustrating. My old D-Link DWL-G520 didn't have this problem, but through my own stupidity i managed to fry that one :(

Any insight?

Try different drivers?

Even if you have the latest drivers, try installing an older set. Also, see if there's a firmware update or something.

I tried all of the driver versions i could find. and i can't find any firmware updates

for anyone else that runs into the problem in the future, i figured it out. it was being caused by windows wirless zero config running. once i disabled it the problem went bye bye :)
