Anyone know what's going on? I'm a first-time builder, and I took the protective plastic thing off. I then put the processor in, aligning it correctly, and its time to close the load plate. When I lower the load plate, it stops on the processor itself, and when pulling the lever down, the load plate seems to smash the processor. I stopped pressing down on very light pressure, since I'm afraid to break it.

What's the problem? Why is not fitting?

It should press the processor at least a mm down into the socket.

All the pins are spring loaded, so it should take a bit of force to get it on there.

It's one HELL of a tight fit...

Finally got it on, thanks.

The intel heatsink doesn't seem to want to go on now though, I can only get the 2 left sides on, and cannot get the right sides.
