Foxconn G33m mobo?

Good find.... Im still leaning towards the Gigabyte but its always nice to see new mATX boards.
 
Ya know, I think I like the layout of the PCIx16 slot better on this Foxconn as it moves it a little bit further away from the drive cage on MicroFly/XQPack cases. With this board, you may be able to fit a 8800GTX without mods. Hmm, that'd be neat.
 
I'm thinking ASUS will produce a G33 mATX model as well eventually. Not like them to be left out of a segment of the mobo industry.

^Not that The looks of the motherboard would alter my choice, but I really wish Asus would use the more attractive Black PCB that they use on their high-end ATX boards for their mATX'ers.
 
I want someone to bring green motherboards back like we had in the late '80s. :cool:
 
Heh. You said BIOSTAR. BIOSTAR haven't seen eye to eye in a couple of years. :rolleyes: As it is though, I'm going to have a hard time justifying the move to the GA-G33M-DS2R when my current GA board has been so rock stable and supports C2D. It only has 2 DIMM slots and doesn't support the Quads, but WTF? I may not move to G33 immediately, there are other things I can upgrade first.
 
Asus and this Foxconn are ok, but they dont have a full solid capacitors on them - are mixed with regular... may have influence on OC...

Based on those other boards, this will probably be the best G33-chipset board. At the least, it has already proven to be a good overclocker. Gigabyte has pissed me off with two of their past boards, but it's the board that counts, right?

Biostar has been one of the top overclockers for the last 3 sockets, which I ended up buying a board. (A, 754, 939). Their socket A board had some quality control issues, but it had good options and others were happy with it. Overall, Biostar has been the kindest to microATX overclockers, even if their boards sometimes have quirks.

Foxconn had one of the better boards for 939, so maybe they will come up with something. However, their boards are generally milktoast.

ASUS won’t use a black PCB, because they probably don’t consider this to be an overclocker. I will bet it lacks real voltage options.
 
The nice thing about ASUS is that they put out a lot of BIOS updates. Of course that could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. :D
