Does anyone know if a soundcard in the top PCI-E 1x slot will clear the northbridge cooler? I have yet to install the new mobo/cpu/mem and they are sitting in the box.

I would rather not open the mobo box if my asus xonar d2x 7.1 won't clear the nb cooler. It justs makes everything easier if I do have to return it to get another mb.
 
Is the box sealed? If not then pulled the board out and check, without taking it out of the static bag.
 
It has a little round plastic sticker sealing the lip of the box. It's why I ask :)
 
The soundcard that comes with the motherboard doesn't use the top slot. It has its own little connector that it uses.
