i found this what seems to be some kind of video card and a firewire card in an old vaio..but i want to make sure they are safe to try out in my PC, because they have little extras on them.

(sorry pics aren't that good...)

it looks pretty normal cept for the fact that its got a coupla extra pins on it to hook stuff and it has that PSU molex connector..u think its safe?

the firewire card looks like a standard PCI card, it's probably fine. is the other one AMR or what? I don't recognize the plug.
 
First card looks like some kind of FireWire card. The second one looks like something to do with audio.
 
The Firewire card will work but the other card looks non-standard (or it may be a slot that I don't know well). It will most likely not work.
