Does anyone here use these - or had experience with them?

How was did they sound? How was the comfort for long periods? I'm having trouble wearing the Game One cans because of comfort. It's causing me headaches from the clamping pressure on my jaw joint.

That's... a pretty big jump in MSRP.

Beyond that, just the basics, the Fostex are closed- you'd probably want to find something open or a planar set with less 'clamping pressure'. For that, I'm not sure where to send you, as it's not a commonly tracked metric.

MSRP aside, the jump of sound quality going from Beat's Studio (Which I thought was freaking great) to Game One's was outstanding. It made listening to my car radio rough these days. It's viciously violating my ears with creamy peanut butter and squid tentacles.

But I'm told there's even greater heights to behold. I don't have an amp/dac yet so I'm looking into this as well. I'm pretty settled on getting a Mayflower O2 combo unit. I don't want to spend more money on an amp /dac than I would on my headphones though.

Closed would be better for work and play as Mechanical keyboards and kids tend to make a lot of noise... and I also don't enjoy my man voice while singing along to the Spice Girls's greatest hits.

Those are semi open, and require a decent chain to truly enjoy. Sadly you're limited to fairly noise cancelling cans... I'd be looking at Mr Speakers Aeon.
