• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I'm getting a ad type thing at the top of the screen when I navigate the forum a big banner about PC Hound. It overlays the top 10% of the screen.

Is this normal? An ad? A virus? Let me get a screenshot and reply.

Normal.

I only get it on a fresh login which is almost never.

That is an advertisement for PCHound.com. I am a partner in that company.

The ad will set a cookie and should only be seen every 30 days.

Ok great. I'm glad it's not something malicious.

(But it is popping up on every page for me not once every 30 days --- but I'm ok with it as long as its generating revenue for the site - I probably have cookies disabled)

Yeah, if the cookie does not plant, you will see it every time. :( We do it this way because people find it too invasive if we start tying it to logins etc. Privacy first. :)
