I noticed that the forum will be either massively slow today and then fast and then once again very slow.

Hopefully this will be helpful:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
I've been logged in the whole time - I don't know if you can monitor the loading times for each users or not. From time I'll get time outs to blazing fast loading. At average when it gets all slow it takes about 20-40 seconds to load a page.

Not sure if anything is happening on the server's end or not. Doesn't seems to be mine end as everything else outside of the forums seems good.

I'll have to chime in and say the same thing. Both Firefox 2 and IE7 on Vista Business SP1 with slow/fast loading results. My computer's currently on a dual T1 line at work and I have no problems accessing anyt other sites nor OCP.

Threads would take from instant to as long as a minute and a half to load. It fluctuates greatly every couple minutes.

I noticed the other thread is locked, but it's not an OCP issue. It's this forum.

Edit: I should add that this's been going on between about 9am Central when I came into work and it's ongoing (3:20pm)

The other thread was locked because it strecthed back three weeks which is no use to use to us.

From time to time

I need to know specific times please in order to pinpoint these issues.

I have been on all day, and I saw a slowdown at 9:05am and one around 2:15pm. Both were very shortlived.

Yeah, Hardforum is going really slow for me and I'm on fiber connection at RIT. Don't know about home, though. It takes around 20-40 seconds to finally load a page.

I having been loading pages in less 1 seond for the last 30 minutes without issue.

I think it is worth saying that we cannot guarantee packet delivery to you all over the world instantaneously. There are currently a couple thousand users on that have reported no issues. I would suspect at any given time there are going to be users that cannot get to our pages quickly due to routing issues.

Running slow as hell right now too

Hmm, I have been on constantly and only one time did I see the forum "hang" for more than 4 seconds.

I have turned off QuickReply to do some testing.

Alright, you want time frames, I'll say since around Noon to now (all times EASTERN)

Let me know if there are any more specifics that you would like to have and I'll try and get em for you. In the mean time I think I'll run wireshark and get some information and maybe send it off to you if this is what you would like to have.

It just took me about ten seconds to open the reply page on one thread, but when I came to post a reply here it opened instantly. There's definitely some slowdown going on.

The above post took about 15-20 seconds to process... Usually it's within 2-3 seconds.

The above post took 1-2 seconds to process. Yeah there's something going on. Alright I'll shut up now that I've done all I can.

I took 35 seconds to read Jon's last post and I definitely think there's some kind of slowdown in my head as well.

Been getting progressively slower over the past few minutes. It's been taking 30+ seconds to load some pages.

I just hit "new posts" a couple times and got load times of 20.34 and then 23.62 seconds.

Edit: Next one was 0.05 seconds.

I just had a period of about five minutes where nothing would load. Seems to be okay now, but it's going up and down.

I did a trace route and it died at once point but the latency remained about 40ms the entire time.

Like the others have said, it's fast and then slow. Right now it's fast.

Slow, I can deal with. What happened to my quick reply box/buttons at teh bottom of the page

Thanks, I must have missed that. Good to know it, I was about to go crazy. Still may!!!! Must post random nonesense as fast as possible

search turned off, tell me what you guys see now.

also, you folks seeing this up and down issue, please post your browser and version. thanks.

It's been okay for the last couple of minutes, but I was having severe issues earlier. I'm using FF3.

I have been posting constantly since I made the last post in this thread and I have not seen a single slow down of any kind.

Maybe we have one webserver that is wonky.....

still a bit slow here, in cali, ie7, xpsp2. been off and on all day slow. i thought it was the internet but the other sites load fine.

We are going to take one the oldest webserver out of the loop and see what happens. Please update/flush your DNS cache.

will take a while to filter DNS through. time to live on our end is 1 hour, your dns server may vary.

Flushed the DNS. I will note any slowdowns.

Will attempt flushing later when the changes has propagated.

turned search back on, turning quick reply back on as well. will see what happens with that box out of the loop tonight.

I'm noticing some slowness right now..this thread took ~40sec to load. Experienced the same in search clicking through results. I've flushed DNS but I don't know that the chances have propagated to my ISP's DNS servers yet. Running FF3 on XP SP3.

Firefox 3 on OSX with Comcast Cable in WA. Seeing some super-slowdowns and then once in a while a page jumps open. Go figure. 5PM PST.

My dns has updated. nslookup hardforum.com should net you .205 and .206. If you are seeing .204 it has not updated.

still no posting slow downs at all. I have not seen a page load that took more than 4 seconds in the last few hours though.

that update took about 8 seconds on wireless connection.

nslookup goes from not showing .204 to showing .204 about every other time I execute it.
