This particualr model isn't listed on the big sticky PSU list...I have to take the 400w PSU back out of my mATX test box, and after reading a few horror stories here, I don't want to put the 250w Inwin Power-man back in there. Is this Fortron PSU good enough?

I know it's not putting out alot of amps on the 12v rail...the system specs are:
AthlonXP 1700+
Chaintech 7NIL1 nForce mATX
512MB Corsair PC3200 Dual Channel
eVGA 32MB Geforce 2 GTS
Onboard nVidia Sound
Onboard nVidia 10/100 nic
Western Digital 800JB 80GB 7200 rpm
Aopen 52x32x52x16 CD-RW/DVD
3.5" Floppy
Inwin mATX w/250w PSU (don't want to put it back in)
Windows 2000 Pro, SuSe 9.1 & Debian 3.2

I figure if the that POS 250W could power it ok, then that fortron should be a pretty good replacement.

as i mentioned in several other posts, the inwin is 99% likely a fortron FSP anyways. The Fortron you're looking at is the "atx" not the "fsp" and is probably lower quality than the inwin you have in your case already. What horror stories have you read? If its Computerpro3's sig don't forget that sig has been amended a dozen times already ;)

No, I checked it like you said in the other thread...it's an Inwin, not an FSP...

I'm probably going to trade a little labor and get my brothers Super Flower TTGI 350w that he's used maybe 10 hours total...but it should be better than the powerman.

I've read a few powerman PSU problems here and several others on 4 other forums I frequent...it's got me a bit paranoid on PSU's now

will this even fit in the mATX case? I have the blue InWin case and I had to buy a 250w power supply for it because it won't fit ATX pwoer supplies......

I did have a full/normal sized Antec 400w PSU in it, but I needed it for another project, so I'm taking it out.
