Ok guys I have a PC Power and Cooling 425 in my main system and I love it. Right now I am putting together a dual MP 1800 and need a PSU. I don't want to spend the PC Power and Cooling money however.

I have never tried a Fortron or Sparkle but I will not buy an Enermax and my last Antec was less than ideal. Is there any different at all between a Fortron or Sparkle and whats the best place to buy them...Newegg? Oh and the other thing I noticed about them is that there are alot of the 'same' ones listed for different money with little or no difference in rails. Why all the different flavors of Fortrons and Sparkles?

This one look fine? http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-962&depa=1

They're the same company, though they each have their own website. It's probably something like one is for OEM and one is for retail, thus the (sometimes) slight differences in specs between two comparable models. Best place to get them? Shop around the usual suspects and decide on features/specs vs. prices.

AFAIK the only difference is retail vs OEM, so the packaging but otherwise for the same model number they have the exact same specs. Price difference on newegg is usually a dollar or two at mostThat power supply you linked is a fine model

What motherboard are you going to use...If your using a board without a 12v line or a molex connector on the mobo your gonna need a +5v monster of a supply. I would suggest the 530w Fortron source or sparkle. BTW Aopen was using FSP supplies also...so look around you can find better deals on the same power supply just by the brand sometimes.

Tyan Tiger MPX S2466 is the board. Tyan recommends a 300watter but I want at least 400 I think.
