Fortron 530

The rear fan is an oddball 80x80x20mm (NOT 25mm thick!)
The front fan is a standard 80x80x25mm fan.

I know this because when I recieved my FSP530 and opened the box I heard a horrible 'tinkling' sound - the rear fan was shattered. I didn't feel like waiting on an RMA so I just opened her up and removed the old fan and then strapped a normal 80mm fan to the outside back of the PSU until I can find a proper replacement.

Again, the REAR (outlet) fan is only 20mm thick and a 25mm thick fan will NOT fit in it's place.

Hope this helps :)

i was gonna put leds in it, but i guess i can scratch that idea. do you know of any good power supplys that have two standard 80 x 80 x 25 fans?

it the antec true blue anygood?

thx

The TrueBlue series are decent, but I'd still prefer Fortron Source/Sparkle especially if your going to be overclocking any. The rails on the Antec TruePower series of PSU's are just too damn fluttery for my tastes. :)

ya im gonna be overclocking so i want the volts as stable as possible. im gonna go with the fortron 530 and scarfice looks for pure power

thx

sometimes i think i shoulda saved up for an OCZ PSU... they look damn sexy... so do those X-Connect things... maybe a 2nd RMA?? hehe ;)
