currently im trying to reconfigure my firewall (fortiwifi 60a) so that my WLAN is on the same subnet as my Internal network. I would like see whats on my network when i connect wirelessly.

anyhow im currently running firmware: FortiWiFi-60A 3.00-b0744(MR7 Patch 6)

im able to combine the 2 interfaces, by using the following CLI

config system switch-interface
edit (new interface name)
set member internal wlan
set vdom root
end

when i check the network tab, my newly created interface (wlan+internal) shows no uplink or down status. am i doing something wrong?

the policy i have set is new interface (wlan+internal) to wan1 and accepting all traffic. still cant get out though :(

any advice would help! if theres anymore info i can provide let me know.

The up link status is fine.
Go to the firewall tab and make sure you have a policy to allow for each direction of the interfaces you have.
Is your wlan getting an IP?

my computers/servers connected hardwired receive a 192.168.1.xxx and so does my wlan.
as soon as i get home ill check the policies again.

thanks for the help.

sorry forgot about this threawd :(

yes i have NAT enabled and i do have LAN (internal+wlan) to WAN1 policy.

Do you have a policy set for your WLAN to talk to your LAN and vice versa?
Can you ping the gateway when connected to the WLAN? Can you ping anything on the LAN?
